Fishers Island, New York, is known for its oysters, so of course we had to create a mignonette sauce using Fishers Island Lemonade. Learn more about Fishers Island oysters here.
1 can FIL
2/3 cup Champagne Vinegar (may substitute White Wine Vinegar)
1/2 cup Shallots, minced (about 2 medium shallots)
2tsp coarse Black Pepper
Pinch of Sugar
The sauce is a garnish within itself!
We also love a good cocktail sauce and lemon wedges with our raw Fishers Island, NY, oysters on the half-shell.
Mince shallots (chop into small pieces, finer than dicing).
Combine can of FIL, vinegar, shallots, black pepper, and a pinch of sugar in a bowl. Whisk to mix thoroughly.
Use with raw oysters, or store in a jar - keeps well refrigerated for about a week.
